Biography

Keops is a Croatian hard rock/heavy metal band, originally formed in Rijeka by guitar player Bruno Mičetić and his sister, keys player Mirjana Mičetić. In the very beginning, the band has released a demo with whom they participated on a festival Ritmi Globali Europei in Italy and won the first prize in the category for the best band. After that, the band had a tour in Italy. At the same time, the band performed in clubs, festivals, and concerts in Croatia, which created their oldest loyal fans.

The first studio album “Keops” was recorded in studio Plavi film Zagreb by producer Toni Lovic and released in 2012 by label Croatia Records. The most successful singles from that album, like “Kako da te prebolim”, “Na vrijeme” and “Otkad je otišla”, launched the band to the top of Croatian TV and radio charts. Also, the album was fourth on the list of the most selling albums in Croatia.

On second studio album “Lice sudbine”, released in 2015, the band changed their producer and start to work with Davor Tomić from the metal band Father, which turn out to be a good decision for the band because it gave them the more progressive and modern sound. On second album band also recorded cover “Čedna gradska lica”, one of the most popular songs from Yugoslavian hard rock band Atomsko Sklonište. The band collaborated with famous croatian actress Renata Sabljak on a song “Mjesto kojem vjeruješ”, and with the singles such as “Rat”, “Odlazim” and “Pred lice sudbini”, gained top places on Croatian music lists. Beside two studio albums, Keops also recorded several compilations; “Ritmi globali Europei”, “Rocument” and “Zagrebački festival” (2015 and 2016).

After second album the band changed group members and returned to their original metal sound. They have already released the main single named “Keops” and received great feedback from their audience. The full album with new members will be released this year, and until then, you can enjoy their music on some of their numerous live shows
